Training Events

At Professional Therapies our goal is to offer our clients additional educational opportunities on a wide range of subjects regarding the care of their children. In addition to a variety of topics related to physical therapy we will be having many guest speakers as our intention is to make this a multidisciplinary approach and our focus is to present topics based on what our clients want to hear about. The training events we offer will either be locally held classes in Salt Lake City, classes held on location or webinars.

These classes are cost effective, informative, fun, and allow you to create bridges with other parents and caregivers within the community.

Helping Kids with Hemiplegia Develop More Symmetrically by Using The Bamboo Brace

Come join us for this FREE webinar where Michael J. Workman PT will give parents and therapists of children with hemiplegia valuable information about how to use The Bamboo Brace in getting your children to progress their gross motor skill level more symmetrically between the right and left sides.

During this interactive event Michael uses both video and photos to help parents and therapists learn the basics about Dynamic Elbow Bracing and specifically The Bamboo Brace. While giving some background on typical motor development, Michael will convey easy to use and effective treatment stratgies for hemiplegia to help your child progress more symmetrically while learning foundational floor skills such as play in supine, rolling, reaching in prone, army crawling, creeping, sitting, standing and walking.
